About the Book
Blind Vision is an autobiography by Branna Eliscu Sisenwein, who chronicles her life from New York's golden age of couture, through her encounters with celebrities, her lasting marriage to a successful investor/manufacturer, her world travels, and her philanthropic initiatives in the world of opera, eye research, and education. It touches poignantly on her despair on learning of her beloved husband's progressive and irreversible blindness, and some years later, the shock of finding that she too would lose most of her sight. Branna Eliscu Sisenwein is a gifted storyteller whose candid autobiography is a love story, an insight into the lives of many famous people and a "Who's Who" guide to the best practitioners in eye research. Most of all, it's an inspirational tale of how to face physical challenges with humor, grace and determination. In addition to this compelling story, Branna has included a comprehensive Resource Guide with a glossary of ophthalmological terms, a list of leading organizations involved in vision issues and a preview of medical breakthroughs just over the horizon.
